Brunello La Mannella

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Grape Variety
100% Sangiovese
Terroir
The vineyards are located on the northern slopes of the Montalcino hill, in the renowned La Mannella area, and are composed of vines aged between 20 and 35 years. The soils, characterized by a clay-rich matrix with a significant presence of stones and excellent sun exposure, provide ideal conditions for balanced grape ripening and the development of complexity and structure in the wines. The vines are trained using the spur-pruned cordon system, a cultivation method that allows precise yield control and enhances grape quality.

Wine Making
The winemaking process is inspired by the classic principles of Tuscan tradition. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature between 28 and 32 °C, with skin maceration lasting approximately 25 days in order to achieve a deep and balanced extraction of color, aromas, and tannins. The wine then undergoes 36 months of ageing in oak barrels, followed by a further 6 months of bottle refinement before release. This extended maturation process allows the wine to develop complexity, elegance, and harmony while fully preserving its varietal and territorial character.
